The development of radiometers that sample at 2048 samples/second has enabled users to ‘see' more of what is going on inside a UV system. Faster sampling radiometers are able to ‘see' the UV bulb cycling ‘on and off' as the alternating power supply cycles. The faster collections rates have enabled the instruments to capture this cycling at its peak moment and report this ‘peak' irradiance value instead of an ‘RMS' or ‘average peak' value that is obtained with instruments that sample slower. Communicate clearly so that everyone understands what is being reported.
