Types of Lamps
There is a huge variety of lamp types, shapes and sizes used in UV curing. They range from very small, low-power to very high power output and are incorporated in curing systems up to the the multi-kilowatt range. Configurations can vary also. Further, systems can be dynamic (moving), static (stationary), or intermittent. Lamps can be broad band (covering nearly the entire UV spectrum) or narrow-band, even monochromatic.
This section will discuss a number of lamp types, concentrating on those types more commonly used in UV curing.
